Whenever I get a call or email from Jerry Anderson I know I have something fun to look forward to. This time it was the Glyn Johns drum recording method. Traditionally this involves only three mics placed strategically around the drum set. We stayed pretty true to form here and only had to cheat a little with a fourth mic on the snare for some punch and thickness.
I was also really stoked to get to turn around the hard/soft acoustic panels for the first time. The drums sound awesome and will be out on a 7 inch in the not-too-distant-future.
